CLARITY researchers receive first prize at international conference
The 22nd International Microelectronics and Packaging society (IMAPS) conference took place recently in Poland. CLARITY researcher Brendan O’Flynn and associated team members were awarded first prize at the conference for their poster describing recent achievements in their development of CMOS compatible MEMS sensors for use in environmental monitoring. Dr O’Flynn was invited to give a talk during one of the plenary sessions on the work taking place in the Tyndall National Institute Wireless Sensor Networking (WSN) team. The project team, consisting of Mathieu Hautefeuille, Conor O’Mahony, Brendan O’Flynn and Frank Peters have developed environmental monitoring hardware for deployment and use in various locations based on integrated MEMS sensor capable of monitoring, aggregating, transmitting wirelessly and logging data on temperature, humidity, corrosion and gas detection and flow.
